Meet The Giesbrecht's
Abe and I married in December of 1997. After Abe being a vet tech/equine ranch foreman
for close to 18 years, he decided to go out on his own to farm and run his
cattle and seems to be a much happier man being his own boss! I continued
to work in the medical/dental field and help with the artificial
insemination of the horses (in my spare time) for a few years until we
decided to start a family in 1999. We were blessed with the arrival of
MollyAnn in July of 1999 and in August
of 2004 our sweet little Lizzie arrived. Both girls have been a joy to
have in our lives and we couldn't imagine our lives without either one of
them.
In 1998 I started to breed Australian Cattle Dogs and
Pembroke Welsh Corgis in 2002. We love the breeds and wanted to share them
with other families. It has been a joy to raise both breeds and have sure
learned a lot! Both girls enjoy helping and working with the dogs,
thankfully, as they keep us busy and on our toes!
In 2010 I decided to start
raising pygmy goats, you talk about fun!

At 3 years of age
MollyAnn decided that she wanted to be an all-star cheerleader and was
good at it. Her squad out of Bethany, Okla went to nationals in Dallas, TX
and did wonderful. We were very proud of her, her squad and her coaches.
All though she still enjoys cheering, after 5 years of it she decided it
was too 'girly' (and if you know MollyAnn, you would know she is a tomboy
at heart) so went on to other sports and interests. (and yes, those
curls ARE her real hair!)

MollyAnn has been on the
back of a horse since day one and continues to be. She is a natural around
horses and has no fear. Not sure that the no fear is a good thing!
MollyAnn started running barrels around 6 years of age and loved it even
when she ended up under a horse at full throttle a time or two. Again, no
fear with this girl! MollyAnn lost her beloved black barrel mare
'Jazzy' in
2009 and has yet to get back into barrel racing.

She enjoys and is VERY
talented at being a goalie in soccer and is a wonderful softball player.
Man can she hit the ball! We love to watch her play and cheer
her on in any of her sports!

In 2010 MollyAnn was
nominated to represent Oklahoma in the People to People Leadership Program
that Dwight Eisenhower started. She flew to Washington, D.C. in June, 'had
a blast and learned a lot' she says! Since her trip to Washington, D.C,
she was invited to represent the United States of America in Australia the
summer of 2011. This is another trip we are eager to take and can't wait
to see what she learns! I myself can't wait to box a kangaroo!!

Since being nominated to represent Oklahoma in the People to People Leadership Program
in 2010, she was asked to join the 'crew' and be one of the
representatives for Oklahoma. She flew to Australia in June for 2 weeks
and we (Lizzie and I) met up with her for a third week. This is another trip we
were eager to take and can't wait
to go back!!

MollyAnn has a kind, sweet
heart and is very nurturing to her baby sister Lizzie. Where you see
MollyAnn, Lizzie is sure to follow!

sorting/working mare - December 2011

Lizzie arrived the middle
of August of 2004.

She tried her hand at the
tumbling/cheer thing but just didn't enjoy it so went on to barrel racing
until she was bucked off (as you can see in the picture below!) going
around her third barrel in a race. Unlike her big sister, she does have
fear.

Lizzie loves the water and
swimming any chance she gets! Including the bath tub!

She is our little
clown, and is ALWAYS sure to make you laugh without even meaning to!

and has ALWAYS been our
dramatic drama queen!

Lizzie enjoys tap dance and
ballet but is 'just at the age where she is too busy for it' - so she
says!

Lizzie has followed in
MollyAnns footsteps (imagine that!) and has enjoyed playing soccer and
t-ball and like her big sister is pretty darn good at it.

Lizzie has a heart of
gold, is loving and where her sister is, she is following!

Summer of 2011 - Softball!

Fall of 2011 - Kiddie
Cheer - The attitude comes from Dad! Lol

Now for our pets and
livestock!
It is with great pride and
satisfaction that we offer our AQHA horses, our Australian Cattle Dogs,
our Pembroke Welsh Corgis AND our pygmy goats.
Our horses are quality and
carry some of the best pedigrees out there. We breed for
confirmation, disposition, pedigree and color and in this order. It is
rare that we offer a broodmare for sale but foals are available as soon as
they hit the ground. Mares are watched carefully before they foal and get
the best of care. Babies are broke to lead and imprinted from day one and
are weaned no earlier than 5 to 6 months of age. We take pride in what we
raise and enjoy placing our equine 'sugar' babies in new homes.
As for our canine
companions, they are
treated with respect and love. We choose our dogs based on personality and
confirmation. We breed with care and the consideration our pets deserve. Our
'sugar' mommas are bred a minimum of once a year depending on how many
'sugar' babies were in her last litter. Sometimes we skip 2 heat cycles
all together. We strongly believe in giving our girls some much needed
rest and believe in quality, NOT quantity.
Our 'sugar' babies stay
with us until they are at least 8 weeks of age, they will NOT depart
sooner. At 5 weeks of age we start taking momma out during the day
for some much needed one on one time with us and some alone time for
herself. 'Sugar' babies are started on solids (Purina Puppy Chow)
at this age and momma is fed the same as her 'sugar' babies. Momma and 'sugar' babies
are fed together to teach manners and to learn that we share. At 6 and 7
weeks of age our 'sugar' babies are interacting with other adults for
teaching of manners and additional play time. 7 weeks old all 'sugar'
babies go in for their BAER testing and micro-chipping.
Strict worming and
vaccination schedules are followed not only with our 'sugar' babies but
our 'sugar' mommas and 'sugar' daddy's. 'Sugar' babies worming
schedules start at 2 weeks of age and are wormed every 2 weeks until departure.
Vaccinations start at 6 and 7 weeks of age.
All breeding girls and
boys are tested for genetics and are NOT bred until they are at LEAST 2
years of age.
We are very particular in
where our 'sugar' babies go and require personal references and a
veterinarian reference BEFORE a deposit is accepted. References ARE
checked! All 'sugar' babies are placed with limited AKC registration
unless other considerations are made and discussed.
We raise happy, healthy
and loving canine companions that will make a wonderful addition to any family.
The placement of one of
'sugar' babies does not end when he/she leaves our home/farm to be with
his/her new family. We are ALWAYS available for ANY questions or concerns
via e-mail and phone. In addition, we LOVE updates and updated pictures of
our 'sugar' babies in their new homes!
In 2010 I decided to start
raising pygmy goats, you talk about fun! Watching those little 'kids' run,
buck and climb is entertainment! Waiting for our kids to arrive is like
Christmas, can't wait to see what and how many we find when we go out to
check on everybody. Our pygmies are hand fed and like our canine
companions, pet and loved on daily. All 'kids' are available for adoption
after 4 months of age with deposits taken immediately.
